Product Description 24 brightly coloured pieces in 4 different shapes to slot together into a marble run, plus 6 marbles. Children will enjoy devising a variety of routes for the marbles to roll along as they descend to a home base. Amazon.com Six chutes, plus six curves, plus nine tubes, plus three bases, plus six marbles equals a plethora of architectural possibilities. Galt's Marble Run is a sturdy, simply-put-together set in primary colors that's perfect for the beginning builder. Kids love to watch the marbles roll down the chutes, disappear into the tubes, and reappear on the curves a few inches lower. Since it can be configured any number of ways, it's a great discovery and exploration tool, providing instant feedback in the cause-and-effect department. And it's easy to take it apart and start over, too! --Julie Ubben From the Manufacturer From a school book seller in 1836 to a brand leader of quality developmental and creative products for children in 2009, Galt maintains a brand heritage in the U.K. as illustrious as Elmer's in the U.S. Galt toys are designed to meet each stage of a child's development by encouraging learning through play. i like everythingI bought this marble run for classroom use, but I enjoy using it myself. I'm working on my teacher's certification and bought this as an activity for a unit I designed on the six simple machines. I think it's a wonderful hands-on way for students to learn about inclines and such. Truth be told, I'm infatuated with it. The colors are very eye-catching and it's great fun to work with. I can't wait to use it in the classroom. Another reviewer suggested buying two sets, which is a good idea. If you know a child who likes building toys (blocks, Legos, etc.), get them this marble run. I loved that stuff as a child (still do) and I truly enjoy this marble run. This is great fun for smaller kids. The pieces are larger than in some other sets and easy to put together. Would need an older person to help figure out cool configurations. I work with younger special needs children and this is a great reinforcer or birthday present.I thought this would be a great toy for my classroom. However I am constantly having to fix it. It is so cheap and not at all sturdy.Awsome toy for great price! This marble run is very sturdy quality plastic. We had one in the past that was very flimsy. The Galt marble run pieces are heavier plastic and fit together well. The pieces stay together well while building different creations. There are 4 basic pieces included that can be put together. My 3 and 5 year olds had no problem putting it together and even I had fun playing with it with them. Great solid choice for the price. My son has a passion for marbles. So my Husband and I decided to buy a marble run. After his birthday party was over , it was the first toy he wanted open!! He played for two hours that night alone before he was interested in any other toy!I received it and everything seems to be in order. I bought a few different items for my sons birthday. He hasn't opened any of them yet. I will write another review once everything is opened.Very good product. It comes in a box with plastic elements to build the marble run, 6 marbles and instructions. The instructions have pictures of some sample constructions you can build from the supplied elements. Not too many elements but enough to build an intresting marble run.Everything is good quality and clicks together nicely when arranged correctly. My 5 year old and 3 year old love it and spend hours trying to rebuild it and check if it works. Even my one year old loved putting the marbles in and watching them slide (under close supervision of course) and she didnt actually try to put them in her mouth (That's how interested she was in playing). Multiple ways of putting it together. It did take me a couple of tries to get it right so that the marbles can come out at the bottom but I guess it may be because I have never had a marble run before.I think this marble run is better for snalk kids than a wooden one as the elements click together what makes it hold together better.I bought it for a birthday present for another 5 year old and she loved it too.30 piece set however only 22 are actual pieces the rest are marbles so really false advertising as you can't count marblesIt's good quality however expensive and despite the premium they still don't stay together wellI bought this for my 3 year old and ended up buying the super marble run but for £13 this will provide hours of fun. Just a shame you don't get 30 pieces.Product was good but not very sturdy. My son wanted marble run so I ordered it and though for the prce should be sufficient. However, the pieces are not very sturdy. Also a shame that only 5 marbles are provided.A shame because if the more marbles were provided it would be less likely that most of the marbles rolled under the sofa.2nd set for our 3yo, endless options to make marble creations. Plastic is strong, sturdy and fits together snugly and she loves. She has occasionally bashed it apart and no damage to the product, cheap plastic snaps, this doesn’t. Its like the difference between buying lego and an imitator, sometimes paying more is definitely worth it for quality and safety. The quality is excellent and gives hours of fun but 6 marbles is nothing as they get lost really fast. I went to the £ store and bought a huge bag of marbles for each kid. I make 2 towers from the set and each kid spends hours putting their marbles on and on again and filling it to the top.
