I was hesitant to purchase this with all the reviews stating it was a frustrating toy. I have had those toys that have instructions on how to build and as you put one part on another part falls off. But this is NOT one of those toys! Kids 2-7 played with it and had fun. I intend to get another one before next Christmas so they have ore pieces to build with. These are awesome! My (almost) 4 year old received these for Christmas. The pieces are large and colorful. The booklet gave some great starting points for building cute creations, and we enjoyed building them. I only knocked a star off for two little complaints. First, the pieces are hard to put/keep together. My 10 and 7 year old could do it alone, but my daughter (who's close enough to 4 to be considered in the target age range for this product) needed my help to build with these. Some pieces stay connected well, but some are too loose and fall out, while some were tight and have a little too much resistance for the preschool crowd. The other is that even with almost 100 pieces, we basically had to take every creation apart before we could build anything else. There were plenty of striped sticks, but not enough of the other pieces. It would almost take two sets to really be able to build, and certainly for two children to enjoy building at the same time. Otherwise, they are super cute and we're happy with the set.Bought these for my son who loves both candy and building things. This has been a lot of fun for him to play with. It brings out the imagination and can be used in many different kinds of play. My son loves to pretend he is creating a candy town with lots of tall building. I would recommend as a gift.My kids got this set for Christmas almost a year ago. It has been one of the more played with toys since that time. The book it comes with is great and even my five year old made all of the creations in the book with no problem. We made variations of the same items too and they love just playing with the pieces of course because they are shaped like candy. My 9 year old and two year old still play with them as well. They don't fall apart as much as people are making them out to in the reviews I don't think. The only one that has trouble staying are the licorice ropes but if you're careful it works just fine. If they stayed together permanently they wouldn't be fun or they stuck more then they would be hard to come apart and someone would complain about that lol, so I think they work just fine for their purpose. I do wish they included a tad more pieces in the box though. I think at least ten to fifteen more pieces is necessary for complete creativity with these. Overall, I would still recommend this as a more educational learning toy that sparks creativity. They are fun but the pieces don’t stay together very well which is frustrating for the kids. Overall fun and would be great in a school setting. My grandkids love playing with this toy. They have been very creative when building with this toy.The product is cute and a great concept. However, all the pieces don’t stay connected easily once constructed. It caused frustration for the child who followed the directions of one of the objects to build. The pieces easily popped apart.I normally love everything this brand makes. For the high price of these, it is not worthwhile for what you get. Listen to the reviews, unlike myself, the pieces are very hard for kids to stick together and creations fall apart extremely easily. It doesn’t come with a ton of blocks- so you have to take apart everything you build, so that you can use those same pieces for something else. The kids will still play with them and they look awesome. If they were sturdier or cheaper, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell you to get them.Kids love it.I purchased these for my in home daycare program. The children love these and they’re perfect for my preschoolers! Very durable and sturdy. I am ordering a second set so we can build even more!We gave this to our 4 year old for Christmas. He loves to build things and was very excited to receive it. The problem is that most of the pieces don't stay together and we all ended up incredibly frustrated. It's cute and unique, but I feel that it needs some additional and differently designed pieces. We could not make many different designs other than what was on the instruction booklet.Cute concept but over priced for quality. Disappointed with this product. Builds break easily and builds shown in instructions don’t work, it’s like the pieces are larger so the just fall apart. My kids find it frustrating to play with.
